I think Cooper might have a crack at the medal and All Star Five, but lack of strong competition might cost him if anything - just hasn't needed to play big minutes regularly.

Ng, Breheny and Spud would have to be easy frontrunners for MIP? Any other competition?

I think Matthews probably stands out a bit more than Cooper. A lot of Cooper's work (on defense especially) is crucial to the team but maybe goes a bit unnoticed by refs?

Forgot about Ng for MIP - he could sweep the lot! Opportunity has a lot to do with MIP. Breheny and Ng had very few opportunities last year so it is hard to compare. Spud probably had the most opportunities last year and has definitely improved a lot from what I've seen and going by what the stats say.

Last year Breheny had 2.5 mpg, Ng 8.5 mpg and Spud 19.6 mpg.

Maybe give Spud MIP and Breheny and Ng can share the "Why the hell didn't I get more minutes last year?" award?

Going by the Index of Success on the Central ABL site, the top players are:

Cooper
Oakley
Breheny
Matthews
Spadavecchia
Pilkington
M.Ng
Hambour
Mapunda
Dodman

Rychart would place second or third if you extrapolated from his seven games (most of the rest have played 12). Dodman would move up a couple of spots if he'd also played 12 games.

Top scorers are:

Rychart
Scanlon
M.Ng
Watson
Oakley

Top rebounders are:

Oakley
Rychart
Pilkington
Breheny
Truslove

Top in assists are:

D.Ng
Sutton
Spadavecchia
Matthews
Zorich

FWIW, Cooper is averaging 7.7 blocks per 48 minutes.

According to CABL site:

Marcus Ng
DOB 10/12/1985

This makes him about 21 years and six months (I think!)... does this exclude him as he is actually 21 not UNDER 21???

As far as I can tell, the U21 award is only out of the following players (this is not the entire list but the top candidates in my mind in no particular order)

Spud
Dodman
Lalic
Egel
Molitor
Rowe
J. Kies
Craddock
L. Burdon
Fildes
