NBL: Round 5 Betting

First odds are up at Centrebet for Round 5.

Bullets 1.22, Kings 4.35 (line is -10.5 and -8.5). Bullets too short there I reckon?

Singapore 9.35, Tigers 1.06 (line is +16.5 and +14). Too risky unless you wanted a prayer for Singapore.

Breakers 1.47, 36ers 2.70 (line is -7.5 and -5). See 36ers vs Breakers thread for more odds. I reckon Breakers by 1-10 could be worth a shot.

Anyone spotted something worth taking amongst this or what's on Centrebet?

Edit: Bullets at 2.70 for win by 1-10 could be OK?

Imagine that the goal posts have been shifted. A bit like a handicap.

If the line in that game is Breakers -7.5, then if you bet on NZ, they need to win by 8 or more. If on Adelaide at +7.5, they need to get within 7 points or better.

Make sense?

So if I bet on the sixers and they lose by 6 it still pays me 2.70?

what is teh -5.0 on the same game for?

If I were a betting man, Sydney at 4.35 would look pretty good. Were talking two reasonably matched teams here! Anything over 3.00 is a steal.

Statman, in that case there are two lines. Often one will pay 1.90 and the more aggressive one will pay 2.10. If you're bold, you can squeeze out that extra value.

2.70 is for a straight up head to head bet (e.g., they have to win). Obviously the line bets are essentially the predicted margin.

If you wanted to bet on Adelaide to lose by up to 7ish, then you'd be looking at odds of 1.90-2.10.

Best bet is probably
BRI Bullets v SYD Kings Game total 200.5 1.90
Although Kings can grind it out.
