Mt Gambier beat Forestville by 5. First time in 5 years! Good game. Eagles wrer up well early but Pioneers got back ahead and were up by 8 with 4 mins to play only for the eagles to come back and have a 2 point lead with 1 minute to play. But the mount hit a 3, then got the stop and nailed the two free throws to go up by 3 with about 19 seconds left...the eagles failed to get a shot off, turning the ball over.

The mount will really struggle this year. With no other players to come back in. Both their imports were playing. The guard in not bad, their big guy is the biggest waste of money i have ever seen. Doubt he will last long. The eagles were without Sutton, Gerlach, Oakley, Hoban, Pero, and Harvey...4 starters! However Dix came out of retirment for the weekend which hepled the eagles alot. had around 30 pts against the pioneers.
