Well it looks like Stephen Jackson has the Warriors' captaincy all to himself, now that his other two co-captains (Baron Davis and Matt Barnes) are out of San Francisco. To be honest, with Corey Maggette now in the fold, one of the Warriors' swingmen had to go, and it looks like Barnes was it. He's criminally underrated IMO, and hopefully he'll get some more exposure now that he'll be playing with some big names in Phoenix.
Barnes is one of my favourite players, and he should be able to either (deservedly) start or come off the bench for 25-30 minutes or so per game. I'm sure new Suns coach Terry Porter will value his hustle and defense, and his athleticism on the break and his outside shooting ability should be just as valueable for the Suns with Steve Nash running the show as it was for the Warriors. He's just what they need - another swingman. They really only have Grant Hill (who's not going to be playing 35 minutes + every night out) and Boris Diaw (who could be on his way out, depending on what you read) at this spot, neither of which play similarly to Barnes, so he's a nice pickup for them.
