To get to Mt Barker:
1.) You need a passport
2.) A spare jerry can of petrol
3.) A SS or XR8
Make sure you leave 2hrs before tip off so you get there just on time. If you get lost on the way don't worry about trying to find your way out and home, just set off your emergency GPS tracking device and let the CFS do it's best to find you.

Entertaining if not at all helpful.
The venue is on Howard Lane.
Obviously depending on where you live how long it takes to get there will vary. It's only 20-25 minutes at the most up the freeway.

Tigers fans travelling from down south will find it easier to take the short cut through the back of Belair, and Upper Mitcham and get onto the freeway at Crafers, rather than driving all the way down and up the freeway from the tollgate.

It's 30 odd Kms up the Freeway, but going 100 or 110 most of the way, less than 20 mins. Easy!! No excuse Tigers Fans.
Expect to see the committee making dicks of themselves yet again up at Mt Barker. :-).

Drive carefully everyone. The winter weather conditions can make visibility poor in the hills. A very scenic drive during daylight hours, so can I suggest you go up at around 4.30pm and enjoy dinner up there before the game.

EC, are you on the tourism board for Mt Barker?
I admit there are some great little spots for food down there. Also the pub has a great bottle-o!
Pack your bags kids we going on a road trip!

Having resided in Mt Barker for the past 30 odd years I can vouch for the weather conditions. Take it carefully.
A bit more info, once you get off the freeway, follow the road go past three sets of traffic lights (including a pedestrian crossing) and turn left at the second roundabout. Go past the oval (on your right) and the first on your right is Howard Lane.
The pubs and eateries have great meals. If you are really starving go through Hahndorf and stop off at the Old Mill for their buffet, very reasonably priced, all you can eat and the selections are to die for!!!!
Have a good trip and welcome to Mt Barker.

I highly recommend Auchendorroch, the restaraunt as part of the cinema complex up at the Bark, great food, and great atmosphere.

The Tigers are taking a bus, leaving MV at 5:15pm. There's an U10 game on at 6:30 as a warm up for the main event!
$5 for adults, $2 for children, $10 for a family. I think you have to book through Deb.
