Can't see how you can blame the last 10 years of the NBL, at least they played and had a league.

This is just BA not understanding how to manage seperate entities to themselves.

NBL in good faith joined into the review and change process and all feel left out in the cold by a very unorganised BA. Whos main adgenda is not the NBl but its worth to BA.

kcgone...its easy to blame the management of the nbl for the last 10 years kcgone - and its the right thing to do.

It's that management that drove the league to where it is today.

Its that management that oversaw the demise of multiple teams over many years and a crescendo of teams suffering in the last 2-3.

Its that management that has overseen teams losing money hand over fist for the last decade.

BA have never managed a full season of NBL. To their credit, in this last season, rather than allowing teams to die mid-season they propped up both Cairns and WS - the previous NBL administrations would have dealt with this very differently - a la Canberra..

if you do not understand that the league was on its knees without or with BA's management then you do not understand.

The last effective years of management of the NBL were Bill Palmer's era, Mitsubishi on Board, NBL on FTA via ABC - but at no point in the disastrous period since have BA managed the league until the last portion of this season.
