NBL trades

NBL trades dont seem to happen, and I have been trying to think on why they are so unheard of. Is it because it is just easier to blame and sack a import and hope that changes the teams fortunes? Surely with the salary cap/points system is must be technically possible for some players to be able to be traded. I think this is something that some NBL teams should look more into, it could add another dimension to the game and create more interest in the off season and hypothetically a trade week/period while the season is in progress. Should trades become a more prominent issue in the NBL? And if the 36ers could trade players who would you want to be getting back in return (realistically)?

Trades wouldn't work because for most players earning a pretty normal wage, uprooting and moving their family across the country is a major issue.

In the NBA, they're getting paid $10m+ and moving, buying a house/renting something outrageous isn't difficult. Plus they're always on the road anyway.
