Was the FIBA World Club Championships ever played? This was proposed is December 2008.

First i heard of that. however it is a great idea, although maybe they should go on a bit of a smaller scale and do more of a champions league style. they may already do this in europe but would be good if we even got to verse other countries in asia. would be a good way to maybe see Dr. No J again and hurl abuse!

SRT070 - They were going to do continental tournaments to qualify to the tournament (Which they do in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas (with out the NBA)).

A bit like the McDonalds Championship? I've still got the Perth Wildcats game against the Houston Rockets on tape from around '95 and the final of the year the Jordan and the Bulls won it.
