Ex-Blaze import headed to NZ. He was pretty cheap last year so wonder if they got a good deal and are saving cash for Jackson or Gibson?

when you have pledger and ? damn i forget his name the big hustle player , anyway those 2 im not sure hudson adds a great deal. but i guess its a safe signing and not terrible.

Wasn't sure when I first read it, but now it make sense. Already having the starting line up pretty much locked in (just got to get the import pg) having another big, rebounder and somebody to add 8-14 points is what we need given the money situation.
Now just to see how Cedric Jackson goes tomorow with the spurs...

Cheap import who has been proven somewhat effective in this league. He's no Wilkinson, but gives them money to go after the big ticket items like Gibson, Jackson etc.
You'd imagine they were never in the hunt for Petrie or Worthington, so with the lack of bigs available, It's not too bad an option going for a reasonably proven cheap option.
They have Pledger and Vukona as the starting bigs, so like the Sixers, they only need a bench player off the bench as the big import.

I thought Hudson played well for GC so reasonably happy with his signing especially as he won't have cost a bomb.

Could have been an excellent re-signing for the Blaze but he couldn't knock this one back and wait for possible GC outcome.
I hope the Breakers don't run anything too complex on ofence or they will regret this one

I think a great pick up. not many could replace wilkinson, maybe worhington. But not many bigs with a very decent outside shot. Hudson can pull down the boards and get some decent second chance shots. Blaze were very limited in the big department but Hudson kept them strong as their starting centre. And he really doesnt have the size for a centre. especially as aback up big, a good pick up especially if was cheap

Great signing...vukona, pledger and Hudson is a tough front court! All very good defensively and while none can spread the floor like wilkinson they all are great finishers around the basket and great on the O boards...good signing imo
But of a nothing signing, why bother really. Not going to offer them much and they won't ask much of him. Put his money towards a bonafide superstar if te points permitted.

This isnt ment to be a starter role but he will get decent minutes backing up both Pledger and Vukona, so pretty much a perfect signing. Perhaps abit high points wise but as long as it has left them with enough to fill the guards out then it isnt a worry.
