The athletic big man was supposed to depart Bendigo for the US today, but brought his flight forward and drove himself to Tullamarine airport last Thursday, leaving his Braves car unlocked with the keys inside at the long-term carpark.

Obviously has no intention of coming back. I know of a number of imports who have done a similar thing.Even tried to sell a hire car.

Barry the season was over, so how can the club stop what just occurred? Certainly not a good way to enhance your playing rep at the next club he may to play at. He will still need to get a clearance from Bendigo before he can play anywhere else. Karma's a birch.

He has signed a contract in Argentina.Bendigo slow down the process if they like and ask for the money outstanding.

Has nothing to do with race at all, thats just a ignorant comment! How about do a proper background check about the person not the skill. Bendigo had back luck w/ imports just this year. This didn't happen when McFarlin(also he is black) & Meyer were there.

Richard Ramey was the WORST ever import (criminal) to ever come to Australia. Hes raped 2 girls, was sentenced to 8years in jail, hired motels rooms and flash cars and booked it up to the Chicago Bulls cause he told them he was Jordans cousin. There even was a story about him in Inside Sport Magazine.

Richard Ramey was not a criminal when he imported to Australia. That is something he did there. He was a great basketball player with a lot of pressures here in the sates. Something must have spoked him to turn mote heavily into drugs which was the cause of the criminal acts.
It was such a misfortune, however that event changed his life for the positive. You Australian must not be so quick yo jump to conclusions about people. That was Richards first time with the law and he paid his dues. When an American acts up within your country, please reach out to see what is going on with that person. Your empathy could change a life.

Bringing up allegations from nine years ago that most people would be completely unfamiliar with is probably not the best way to go about clearing someone's name.

@camirogers I grew up with Richard.I know his family well,He was the best athlete I've ever seen.Yes he made mistakes but haven't we all.Richard wherever you are you're still the best to ever do it.God Bless
