36ers owners/board are soft. No balls like the 36ers team. Clarke is perfect match for the useless people who appointed him and have kept him despite his incompetence.

Alright, can people settle down. One thread is enough.

Well no...technically there aren't any Sack Marty threads.
This one comes the closest by asking why MC is still coaching....doesn't actually call for his head.

Here Anon and Camby, i'll start a proper one...

He should have the decency to resign if he cares about this club. Why continue on with so much condemnation from the fans, so little success in his first 2 years and so little sign of any improvement in the 3rd. In fact he has exposed himself even more in this final year of his contract because he actually has the team that could be successful. He has proven where the problem lies. Why hold a club to ransom when they are already cash strapped and there is a risk that it will go under, only to hold them to paying him out. Marty should be paying the club compensation for what he has caused. Just quit and let someone else come in that might just salvage whats left of this team.
Only tonight after the game he commented that there are still enough games left to make it to the top 4 where they are still aiming. After 4 consecutive losses?

No game plan!
It's clear the 36ers have a game plan, the problem is it is far too complex. It is killing the ball movement, you can visibly see Gibson having to tell the players where to go and they're trying to work out how to do it during the game!
The tactics are simply not utilising the talent of our players, this is why we played so well against Perth in the three games, because they do extended defence which had us playing a fastbreak type game. We have the talent to rival the best, when we improvise, when we play freely we play using our talents and we play well. When they weren't doing extended defence, they were pushing us out of position forcing us to change things up, again to improvise.
That was Perth's problem, to a certain extent playing too well! We really do need a Phil Smyth type gameplan which frees our players a bit more.

SPOT ON KET!!! You can see the players religiously going through the 'play' rather than seizing the opportunities as they come. It doesn't take into account specific individuals talents. I thought the guys played a good game (for the most part) given the restrictions of following orders.
They seem to be following orders to their own detriment. ie "after pass x y takes the shot...blah...blah.." I can see the guys are trying to do what they are told, and it worked well a few times tonight. Unfortunately, when Creek went down, they lost the momentum.
