Agreed, thank you SOS for all you have done, and all your decisions have looked good at the time.
the only request i have of SOS now is change the coach, even if its with the imports money and we just promote a development player for Creek and leave Daly in for Massingale, it would make a dramatic positive influence on the fan base atleast.

Cadee , Gibson and Petrie only came here because their club folded... Yep your right though, the coaches have done a great job in 2 and a half year... Like all the silly rotations Clarke has continually persisted with? and our over complicated offense which involves 20 passes before someone is allowed to shoot? How about that technical foul last year at home on the coaches that cost us the game against Cairns ? That was absolutely great according to you because they have done nothing to make you unhappy :) . Could you please let me know how his so called ' 3 Year plan' is going as well? Bottom two finishes in all seasons he has been involved with the club seems like an awesome plan he's implementing to make us a finals bound team one day :)

He is thanking SOS for there efforts, saying at the time without hindsight there decisions looked good, which they did.
I dont see it as saying the coach is good by any means.

The immediately above anon poster is an illiterate fool, who is apparently so backward that he ( reasonable gender assumption as there are fewer female morons in the population)can neither read the topic heading nor understand that the coach is not a member of the ownership group.
In respect to rotations , I strongly suspect the above poster's greatest understanding of rotations is the torso movement he has to undertake in order to check which of his orifices surfaces he has to wipe his $4!t off first.

sorry about this - hopefully my above reply will be deleted by a mod ?
The 3rd poster (second ANON post) above is an illiterate fool, who is apparently so backward that he ( reasonable gender assumption as there are fewer female morons in the population)can neither read the topic heading nor understand that the coach is not a member of the ownership group.
Cadee came to be coached by Clarke as his primary PG and to get out from behind Gibson.

I also feel extremely sorry that the SOS group has to also put up with "fans" like the above twerp -

I urge SOS to give Marty another go, he is improving.

Please just keep to topic :) - just thank SOS if you appreciate their efforts - we have enough other threads for the usual topic subject.

Not bad Very Old. And I agree 100% with what you said about DJ. Once he learns how to defend properly he's going to be a lot more dangerous (he also needs to learn some better shot selection). His biggest asset on D right now is his height. At 6'11" (212 cm) there are (off the top of my head) only Nevill, Schenscher, and Pledger who are taller in this league, and Big Red is a team mate so he doesn't have to defend him. He's got good speed for a big man and can match it with the PF's in the NBL, but he only seems to use that speed with the ball in his hands.
Anon #392638....we signed Cadee before the Blaze folded, it was after that happened that we managed to get Gibbo and Peach.
Its hard to find fault with the SOS really. Without them we wouldn't even have a team to support in the NBL.

Thanks for the post, VeryOld. I feel as you do and I'm a +1 for thanks to SOS. I love the 36ers and want to be around when they get back to the top, whenever it comes. That SOS has been prepared to put their money down to make that happen is something I am very grateful for. No ifs, no buts, no maybes.

PS - following the NB: since 1979 IS impressive. I've only been following it since 1985. At least I can say I've always followed the same team :)

Co-signed Very Old! The Sixers seem to be cursed or something, but I honestly believe we are not far away. Unlike seasons 2004-2010 (most of which was Mal Hemmerling and not you guys) we actually do have some good talent on the roster, so I give ownership big kudos for shelling out the dollars to make that happen. Keep most of this roster, add an impact shooting guard and an experienced NBL coach and I think we'll be back competing for titles from next season.
Please keep sustaining our club SOS! Even though the ingrates are often the loudest in their condemnation, believe me there are ten times as many like me who have nothing but admiration for your commitment to this club!

+1 also. I'd be changing the coach about now, but I attend regardless and enjoy the spectacle and following the players win or lose. I also think SOS have made decent decisions (with info to hand in each case) throughout and hope those involved can keep the team running.
Hate to get soppy, but saw the Silver Fox give Mrs Creek a lengthy, supportive embrace post-game. Along with her son and family, she must've been devastated by the injury. Her son puts it all on the line every minute he plays for our club. He was absolutely right to show how much that commitment of Creek's is valued.

I've followed the Sixers since '83. I love this team. So much so, that when I was given a chance I became a "Foundation Member" and "Part of the Team". I also think SOS have done a great job, until very recently.
As Owners they should and MUST listen to the fans as we are their clients. A business that doesn't listen to it's clients goes out of business very quickly because eventually no-one will want their product.
There must come a time in a club's history that the owners step up and say, "Hang on a second, we don't like where this is going, we need to change it". Well, I don't think that's happened and I'm not impressed.
