I've always wanted to know this, if anyone has any clue it would be great

Its only a semi-pro league. I was under the impression that many of the players don't get anything more than travel expenses. Imports earn something, but it normally complements at least a part-time job.

Bench CABL player for Eastern, we dont get paid except our import. We do however get all our uniforms etc provided for us and no cost at games.
We do however need to have an individual player sponsor.

Starter Big V player I'm currently on $300 a game and petrol money.

Generalising, CABL- Imports depends on Visa. many clubs find them work and provide car accomodation etc, club members help out or sponsors. For imports its about having a great resume and playing here is a good option or experience in a competitive sport world. CABL Clubs have a total cap only in the thousands so usually small per game fee at a couple of hundred. Every player sponsored to cover other costs such as uniforms and other related minor expenses, Some clubs spend Cap on a big local player and sacrifice the rest of the team. . Think which clubs may be doing that and attract certain players or spending on a coach. . Some on here claiming they get no money per game so it must be happening. CABL completely different to money making SEABL which attracts more affluent sponsors, door fees, etc and generally bigger club numbers overall with more revenue from a huge playing group in juniors and seniors. This is why fees are so high. So take your kids to watch and learn from CABL at home games which are generally free entry at most clubs because you are paying for it.... It is not what you think in SA and why for more than just experience and exposure we lose players from SA.

Most players don't get anything.
Luke Nevills wouls get 10k and a car to use for the season.

Forgot to add- possibly set up with some work opps as well. Some experienced players may get 2-3k for a season. Other clubs pay mvp per game on a 3-2-1 basis OR some clubs also have player auctions and a sponsor will look after 'their' player! Imports may get put up or given an apartment or residence to rent at a discounted or free rate->depending on who the club knows etc

Please call SBL SEABL so as not to confuse with SA's CABL also known as SBL. That way facts will be more applicable and not open to criticism.

Interesting topic and answers will vary depending on who you ask...
In WA SBL there is a $65k salary cap.
Imports on a sporting visa have a minimum of $500 per week. Then they would get accom, vehicle, internet, mobile etc.
I would think in the WA SBL imports vary from $500 - $800 per week.
This would then be supported by other activities such coaching camps etc
Restricted Players (Australian/NZ players who may be NBL or overseas) - these guys would attract a similar weekly payment as imports. Although rare, there have been reports of Australian players being paid $800 per week.
Unrestricted Players - this would vary from $0 to about $400 per week I would think.
There are often urban myths on which clubs and which players are paying/getting what amount. Sometimes players will 'inflate' what they are receiving as it can be a bit of a status symbol.
There will always be the player/s that will chase the $$$ and clubs willing to pay that. The reality is that the SBL is more about developing your skillset rather than making an extra $2k per season.
Players would be more rewarded looking for clubs that can offer them the opportunity to reach their potential and improve rather than chasing some pocket money...

What about Big V champ and D1?? What would imports earn? From what I understand Seabl players earn the most?
