OLD BULL'S ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
First and foremost, thank you Isaac for your time and effort relative to both the Forum and the ABL Tipping Competition. Thanks also to Billy Hopkins at CustomTel for donating the prize - I must say my Wife and I are looking forward to the 2 weeks in Los Vegas with $10,000.00 spending money - you are very generous Mr. Hopkins. Seriously, I am looking forward to using one of those classic CustomTel home phones.
The ABL Tipping Competition has been an interesting pass time to say the least - and yeah, as the inaugural winner, I will fully utilize my bragging rights.
During the Tipping season I made these following observations: -
Doddobird flew in, landed on the perch (1st) in Round 5, and then promptly flew away again.
Moses Guthrie was just 1 tip from the lead in round 11 and knowing him, he would have had his eyes fixed firmly on the Holy Grail. However, you didn't get your tips in for round 13 did you Moses. I laughed so hard I needed post trauma psychoanalysis.
Well done passback - you were the front runner so often and were no lower than 5th - a wonderful effort and you certainly kept up the pace. Like wise to B_Rett, who took the lead mid season with a couple of perfect scores and stayed with the front runners 'till the very end, and yep ok who was a 'stand out' in the first round. J_Bags, Take Luck, TommyJR and thedoctor also had their moments in the sunshine.
The fighters were Mr T, (from 57th in round 2 to 3rd in round 14) Salary Cap Rorters, Stella Artois (from 29th in round 5 to finish overall 4th) Silver Surfer and Bob Night. Your fight to the death is highly commendable.
In some tipping contests, bottom place also wins an award (maybe next year Isaac) but to win this award, you must tip in every round. Well done Swish, you finished a true last and your 10 from 10 in the last round speaks volumes of your persona. In many ways, you are still a winner.
Isaac, you finished 10th in your own Tipping Competition. Your integrity will never be questioned and your credibility will always be in tact. Along with that lanky brother of yours, I think you are both pretty special people.
