This game has been absolute garbage. Actually the whole round has been underwhelming. The NBL appears to have dropped in standard, especially with imports, and they've chosen the wrong year to do it seeing as it is the first year of the 9Go deal.

I think we were lucky Lisch caught fire tonight. Some Randle first half brilliance aside, we looked flat most of the game, and just got murdered on the boards by Cairns with all those long rebounds off missed 3s. Also why does Gaze take Bogut off for the biggest defensive possession of regular time and with the opponents only needing a 2? Bringing on Pineau was a good move but should have been for Kickert... not sure if the plan was to post up Kickert on DKD at the end or Randle just gave it up after a few ineffective picks but it was the right move, he just needed another second to go to work.

I'll take the W happily though.

Wear is knocking down his open looks and no longer taking bad, rushed jumpers which is great, I hope he keeps it up. Maybe it's my imagination but his shooting form looks a ton better, jumping straight up with good elevation, I don't remember him looking so confident throughout preseason and games 1 and 2. He did give up a few open 3s to Loughton (who luckily missed the easier of the two looks), but that is arguably as likely Gaze neglecting to mention to Wear that Loughton is a shooter as it is a defensive mistake by Wear.

Wear is hitting a couple of 3's cause if you notice, no one bothers to defend him. At best as good as a mediocre local player. No "wear" near an import level. Kings will struggle with Randle alone.

how about Jamie O'loughlin getting the technical on the cairns bench?
Could argue he cost the team their first home win. Randle hit the FT, that one point is massive difference in a game that eventually goes into overtime.
