This is the real NBA-China news of the week...
Nice reaction from his teammates and home crowd.

Any boss who sacks an Australian for not turning up to work tomorrow is a bum.

Curtley - that was my second thought. My first thought was "r/NBA is going to be going bananas" (and they are - almost every post is all-CAPS). What a day.

gold medal to australia
earth to dominate in space jam 2

(In Darth Vader's voice)
I see your training is complete you are a NBA basketball all rounder as the emperor has for seen

Not sure how it not being against an NBA opponent matters. If he's given that kind of space in a game it looks like he's gonna throw it up.

Kinda feel like going 2/6 from the stripe cancels out the three, but good for him, I guess?

totally agree not being an nba opponent doesn't matter he has the confidence to take a shot from more then 12 feet
if you watched Giannis last year he only shot about 20% but just him taking the 3 opened the floor up so much more
plus simmons wont look like a passenger in the 4th next time the playoffs roll round

Over $200 million a year to play all and he hits his first 3..........wow!

People clearly don't see the meaning behind the shot. It shows potential. It shows the work he's put in. It shows the confidence he now has to take the shot. It shows that the answer to the one major blemish in his game could be about to be answered this season. This could completely elevate him as a player.
But of course, no, context and everything is something people struggle to understand here.

Good sign.
But hardly a pressure shot or buzzer beater.

I was hoping for a few off-the-dribble 15ft jumpers, I would have been way more excited about that rather than a 3. But happy that the big fella pulled the trigger and made one at home.

I made a few last night in my social game, can I get my thread too
