The NBL needs to consider an annual knockout competition which ends during the regular season. Our regular season is short compared to other leagues around the world.

Another issue the NBL need to fix is that some teams only play each other 3 times a year which makes the fixtures uneven now. For example when Tasmania enters the league some teams will only get to play in Tasmania once per season. That sucks for NBL fans who cannot make the game. Every team should play each other twice at home and twice away. Otherwise another competition would fix the uneven fixtures during the regular season.

Be better to see Cairns, Hawks and other smaller market NBL teams finally win some club silverware. Trophy game above is just example what the NBL should do.
