You need to VPN via Spain though.
No English commentary but if you are like me and mute most of the idiots they put behind the mic these days then it won't be an issue.

Credit to Spain, didn't think they would make it this far.
Brown was an odd addition but they needed him badly.
Spain and France basketball flying atm, both womens and mens programs and all age groups.

Dunkman
Years ago
Yep, massive last 1/4 gets Spain into another final. Brown certainly did the job.
France v Spain for gold.
Germany v Poland for bronze.

Poland were the surprise performers although really sucked in their final two games.

So Spain covered the retirements of their old guard by fast tracking the citizenship process of an American who wasn't born in Spain, never lived in Spain and never played for a Spanish basketball team?

Perthworld

Correct and it was discussed on here at length a couple of months ago.
FIBA needs to do something about countries using their one naturalisation spot just because.

LV

Yeah surely FIBA can set whatever rules they want, irrespective of countries offering "citizenships" in instances like this.

Dunkman

Germany a very credible third, blew the last quarter against Spain. Over a very strong and enjoyable tournament.
Medals at Olympic and WC are getting tougher and tougher to win.

Bringing 1 player in won't guarantee them anything. The Gomez brothers played very well, better than expected, so too Garuba and the young pg and wing played well too.
