It's a gripping game ... that’s one of the few positives out of it. Breakers finishing has been ordinary, as has the refereeing.

Feel sorry for Rupert; he’s not going first round any more.

The best thing about this round of games is the return of Tom Abercrombie.

Seeing him make outside jumpers in the flow of the offense, change the game defensively (four steals tonight) and his hops is at the best time. At times he has looked too old and slow to be on the floor, most likely because of the eye injury from preseason. But he's the glue to the Breakers - a true 3-man in a team of bigs and guards who is happy to be the fifth option yet can go for 20 if the open jumpers are falling.

The Abercrombie of this weekend gives the Breakers six players who can close, and given there are nights where one of the guards can be unhelpful, not having to play all three to close will help the Breakers.
