SGA wins NBA MVP

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has won the league MVP for 24/25.

Averaged 32/6/5/1/1 on the league best OKC team. Had 71/100 first place votes, beating out Mr Triple Double Jokic.

As a hornets fan, regardless of context it's insane that he becomes the second NBA MVP we've drafted and then traded on draft night!

With all the allegations of rigging things, they should have rigged this so it was a co MVP, Jokic got robbed again. His stats were insane and to carry his team to a game 7 against the number one seed and now MVP shows his value. Take SGA off OKC and they might make playin, take Jokic off Denver and they make Washington look like the 96 Bulls.
Sure, wins need to be factored in, but OKC has a vastly better surrounding cast. SGA is great and good on him, but not many can argue he's more valuable than Jokic.
Not sure how they can change voting system, some random media people awarding the MVP has a few faults, some would be biased to certain players, most couldn't have seen every game. Just looked and prior to 1980 the players chose. Surely they'd be the ones to choose, to make it fairer they can't vote for a teammate. Or even if the team as a whole endorses their votes.
But another foreign player beating out the Americans.
