Fine start by bullets, cats certainly in it though. Better game than previous game so far

Expecting a crowd of 6,000 when they've been running a "2 for the price of 1" promo is...not great.

Harrison winning the big man duel at present, two fouls, hopefully no more

Yeah it's time. Mason Jones needs to go.

Rollie's rotations are absolutely mind boggling. Not to mention his persistence with Dontae Russo Nance.

The half price tix thing is bull. I paid $100 a seat the day they were released, they were reduced to $80 each but advertised as half price

I'd have thought this game would be over by halftime, congratulations to bullets, really show courage and teamwork, harmony, hopefully it continues.

Why isn't Tai Webster in the NBL anymore? Was it his decision to leave the Wildcats or was it the Wildcats? I feel like if you replaced Russo Nance with him, that'd help the Cats' problems in the backcourt at least a little. Googling him I see the last club he played for is a French side, not sure why the Wildcats didn't hang onto him.

Dunno what's worse:
1. Rillie's 11 man rotation policy
2. Perths 3pt shooting
3. Perths offensive gameplan
4. Perths defence
5. The graphics at the bottom of the screen

Harrison and Prather excelled, the rest of the starters all very good and the bench just chipped in. Well done bullets. Harrison beat JLA and basically no one from the cats turned up.

Perth has no depth..no guard's production is just killing them and when do little and Dylan are not playing well it’s a horrific situation. This roster is not going to make the playoffs

The Cats have got themselves into a mess with the guards on this roster. Russo Nance doesn't look up to it all, Henshall seems out of sorts, Pepper is a one trick pony. And his shot isn’t dropping at the moment. I’m sure Jones is not delivering what they thought he would. Rillie jnr has been ok but I think looks better than he really is because the rest of them are so mediocre. We also have Dech waiting in the wings who will need minutes and who is a good defender but won’t be the answer on offence.

But anyway, patience was the key in putting together what fan boy Mark assured us would be a roster capable of winning the championship

Its always interesting what shows up in season, when teams that look like contenders on paper are shown to be paper tigers (or wildcats). There's never been any indication for me that Rillie is a good coach, and if I were the cats I'd be putting a million dollar contract to Trevor Gleeson, not whatever the next NBL player is.

But yeah, for an organization that was the standard bearer for so long they definitely look pretty ordinary, especially when a pretty bad Brisbane team puts them to the sword comfortably. If Perth management care about this season Mason needs to go - Rillie needs to go - Nance needs to go. I'd be looking for a physical enforcer on this team too.

Late to the party, credit Brisbane, shooting the shit out if the ball. But the officiating was an absolute joke. Jones ejected for fuck all. Heaps of soft calls against Perth in the second half, but harrelson can just stop instantly mid court for a screen amd ita not illegal.... didn't make a difference to the outcome, as Brisbane couldn't miss but was very inconsistent and a far cry from the let them play we started the season with.

Thanks Bullets. Tonight, this Bullet's roster, with 3 important players out injured, beat a highly fancied Perth, at Perth. I am over the moon with this result.

If Adam's benching (to start the game) was the masterstroke that gave the Bullets this win, I might owe HC Lash an apology (as I bagged the crap out of him in my last post), but I suspect that they won in spite of him (Lash).

A great start to the Ignite Cup for Brisbane, 7 points. And a much-needed "W" for the regular season ladder, too.

Russo Nance was never meant to be starting pg, the hate on a young guy for giving it his all when asked to start is misguided, ask the q of the roster construction or the coach. Brisbane also couldn't moss tonight, theu hit plenty of contested shots, banked in shots....

Happy to give him another game or 2 to solidify or counter this but fair dinkum Jones better have come with a receipt. Ok he dropped some 3's and did score 20 odd but he often commits bonehead temper-tanty fouls, moans to the refs too much and appears too lackadaisical for an import. It was definitely a team effort bucket of plop out there tonight nota ll his fault lame lame lame. As mentioned Rillie's rotations are jarringly random

As poor as Mason has been he was still their top scorer and he fouled out. He showed some good signs this game but it speaks volumes how rubbish their back court is. They have no consistent outside shooters.

It looks like they are in need of a high IQ dynamic ball handler who can average about 28ppg to make them look decent.

For all the shit we give the Cats, we need to give equal credit to the Bullets.
Heck of a game by them. Pretty simple stuff - just play to your strengths and stick to the plan. They did a top job at both ends.
