MU @ Brisbane, Round 5

No thread, so here goes!

After the Breaker's (surprise) win over the JJ's in the evening's opening game, and the Bullets', own fab victory over Perth, 2 nights earlier (Wed's Ignite Cup game), I was disappointed with the "ordinary" start the Bullets had in this one.

Once again, Brisbane started with Adams on the bench, seemed to work well v Perth, worth trying again!

Once again, they lose a starter to injury. Ducas (ankle or lower-leg?) in the first couple of minutes. That doesn't work so well!

Once again, no Tad D. And still don't know why!

Once again, left with a 7 man rotation, 3 starters and 4 bench-players.

What was different is that Adams turned it on, late in the game, and his game-high 29 points, @ 66%, most of which came in the 4th, gave the home team the slightest of hope of an unexpected victory over the still undefeated MU.

With 1.18 left in the game, Adams capped off his night with three of three from the stripe, and Brisbane were down by 3, 83/86.

MU then went on a 9 to 0 run and Prather finished the game with a 3 on the buzzer (for Brisbane) for a final score of Bris 86/Melb 95.

Bullets certainly showing some tenacity, not a bad game overall, but yes the start was horrendous. Injuries are killing them. United just keep rolling, Harrison probably won the battle of the bigs.

A Huge Shout Out to the Bullet's "bench". Patterson(21mins), SmithMilner(15mins), Murray(33mins) and Devers(33mins) who carried this team, tonight.
