Hawks extend Dyson Daniels, $100m/4y
Atlanta Hawks All-Defensive guard Dyson Daniels has agreed to a four-year, $100 million rookie contract extension with the franchise, agent Daniel Moldovan of Lighthouse Sports Management tells ESPN.Consensus seems to be that this is a reasonable deal for both sides. Daniels averaged 14/6/4 for a middling team on the up, with a load of steals, giving huge defensive value to Atlanta.
Daniels won the NBA's Most Improved Player of the Year, was runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year, made first team All-Defense and finished with 229 steals last season, the most in a season by any player since Gary Payton in 1995-96.
Does his role change much with Alexander-Walker joining them?
At 59% FT, is he at risk of being hacked out of the post-season?
