Slightly more serious.
Well summed up, Dunkman. This is very nearly do or die. I added "nearly" 'cos it's still early in the season. However, I have to acknowledge that it is, in fact, quite late in the season for some teams to still be getting their imports sorted.
Seems that the Bullets have got their finally found their import guard, Dakota Mathias, a 30 yr old, 1.93m (6ft4in) SG/PG, who most recently played for Indiana Mad Ants in G-League. Says he is keen to get "back(?)" to the NBA.
Averages for the 2024-2025 G-League Season
Pts 17.9 / Reb 4.9 / Ast 3.4 / Stl 1.3 Blk 0.4
Has also played for 1 year,in Spain(?).
I have heard that he is here (Thursday) but not whether he is playing or not.
Injuries, are still a problem , for some teams, more than others.
Brisbane still has 3 significant injuries in Norton, MacDaniel and Holt.
Could not find any injuries for Breakers (there is an NBL injuries list but Breakers are not on it???)
In tonight's game, the battle between Adams and Jackson-Cartwright may well be the decider. Fairly sure what PJC will deliver, but Adams will need to have another blinder if Brisbane is going to be in this one.
The SG's battle should go to "Brokenton" of the Breakers over Murray (or Patterson) but the rest of the roster probably just favours the Bullets. Harrison over Mennenga, Prather over Baker II and Ducas and Lopez fairly even.
Should be a good contest, with lots at stake!
