"3 Coins in the Fountain"

3 new imports to be added to the NBL, this week.

Perth will feature guard David Duke Jr, a defensive specialist. v Tassie in the "Ignite Cup"(Wed).

Brisbane, a scoring guard, Dakota Mathias. Take on Cairns(Thu).

Illawarra, another sharpshooter in QJ Peterson. v NZ (Fri)

All 3 will be vital to their respective teams' chances of reaching glory.

Keen to see who makes a difference.

Some pre-game comments and predictions would be interesting. So too, post-game, after we have had a chance to see and evaluate them.

Are we happy or ready to change teams? This may be the "last spin of the dice".

I'll go first.

Brisbane, Dakota Mathias. 29 yrs. SG. Mainly played GLeague and internationally in Spain and Germany. Stats show modest returns but "scout" is encouraging.

Dakota replaces Javon Freeman-Liberty in the line up and will be expected to back-up Adams at times. After (probably) starting on the bench for his first outing, I expect him to be our starting SG and that he be a help for Adams in our back court.

In the continued absence of McDaniel and Norton through injuries, Murray and Devers, have filled in admirably, but Mathias's inclusion allows the Bullets to settle into their regular roles. The bullets should be stingier, defensively and a little more potent, offensively.

However, however good Dakota Mathias is, we will still need the rest of our squad including Tohi SmithMilner and new recruit PF, Jacob Holt to be injury-free and available for us to see just how far we can go in this comp.
