Breakers host sixers in Chch 6th Nov

Supposedly a home game for breakers but they don't seem to feel at home in Christchurch.

Sixers should win comfortably if any of cotton/cameron/djv/cheatham play well.

Most interesting will be the mennenga vs humphries match up i think.

A good result for breakers would be a loss <10 and brockington and baker play well.

My feeling is it's just not going to be our night, although that shifted slightly after realising the game is in Christchurch.

There is just something about a Thursday night game in NZ that worries me. They will get hot from deep, the crowd will be involved, we will turn the ball over. Everything will seem like it will go the way of NZ. Adelaide will get close after being down, and then someone for NZ who has never hit a three for example, will hit three of them contested, lol.

My prediction is we are going down. And then the focus is for the big game Sunday.

Hope I am wrong.

"And then the focus is for the big game Sunday."

Teams never focus on the second game of double-headers they worry about them after the first game is over.

The fact this NZB home game is way down in Christchurch might help nullify the usual strong support in Auckland. NZB tend to be viewed as an Auckland team within NZ. They are coming off a big win over the Hawks though and Mennenga seems to now be playing at the level that was expected of him.

I see the Sixers as favourites for this one but the Perth game on Sunday concerns me.

Defence wins games and while I'm not sold on Sixers being great defensively, they are better than nz imo. It’s going to be interesting who goes to Cotton, I’d try Davidson, he’s been above my expectations so far. Lopez on Cheatham could be interesting, Humphries v Mennenga also. I just think Sixers are a little bit stronger down the roster but imo Kop is better of the two on the sideline. Sixers by a very small margin.

Yes. I know that Zodiac. Simply saying that if my prediction is right, they'll write it off and focus on Sunday. No where did I say they are tanking this game on purpose because they are only focused on Sunday. My prediction is pattern based, not logic based and Adelaide ARE favourites.

Are you seriously suggesting they'll write this game off to focus on Perth on Sunday?

I see the confusion.

No, of course not. I meant if they lose in the way I worry they might, I think it will be written off as a bad trip and the focus will be on Sunday. Which it would be anyway because that's what naturally happens regardless. My posts are just related to the prediction we could have a bad night over in NZ despite logically being favourites.

And even if I was predicting they are tanking the game, it wouldn't mean anything because I do not manipulate the 36ers from this forum, and they would most certainly not do that. It would just mean I am a bit silly.

Cheatham is turning into one of my favourite players, absolute team first player. Isaac White I still just don't see it.
