Norwood 16 girls were the form side but two major things have happens that will seem them return to old ways....the princess didnt win MVP which will casue huge friction and secondly a girl who has made a committment all year has opted to quit basketball right at the time of finals. You know I can see why the coach has retired....Damien you are a wonderful coach and you dont deserve this....all the best in retirement...maybe your next team wont be full of disappointments and princesses.

Brad, what makes you think that? Do you realise that Norwood have not lost a game this year when all of their players have been available? At full strength now, they are ready to win it.

This makes two threads in the last couple of days where you have had a go at the Flames. What's the matter - did you try out and not get a game? Or just sick of getting beaten by them in whatever crappy div you play in?

Norwood have not been beaten AT ALL THIS YEAR with all players available. You never know, it could happen on GF day, but you'd have to say its unlikely.

Sturt won't even get to the GF unless they can beat North. North won easily just over a week ago.

Also, I assume you meant "saying", but the word "sane" somehow doesn't seem right in one of your posts.

No dark horse mwa.Sturt 12 g lost to north. u18 g lost to west. West were a far more skilled and refined team. They handled dirty play with dignity.

dirty - only thing dirty is you getting on here and airing crap like that. This is basketball and I think you will find that most of those girls who played are all friends (you may have even noticed the high 5's between opposing players!!) And the game was played to win - and if anything it was a dissapointing game as quite a number of the players had played 2 days of Knockout bball.

As an u14 parent you must be very knowledgable on this! Did you know training differs to games. All of the sasi age groups get on well together, it is not a new concept for elite training.

But isnt that was is best about competition! The friends you make in the process, and those u14 who are in sasi now will hopefull follow in the footsteps of those u18 that create a competitive state team and then get to go on the sasi US trip after they graduate. I can tell you now it will be a lot tougher to get to that stage if you dont get along off the court!!

Well, I guess favourites don't always get up and win. The U12 Div 2 boys game today between Sturt & Woodville was fantastic. Every single boy out there should be proud of themselves, the way they played and their amazing sportsmanship, especially at the end of the game was a joy to watch. Who said these clubs don't get along?? Woodville Warriors only team through to a grand final should be feeling awesome. Well done, a close 2pt win to Woodville.
