Despite a noisy home crowd, the Opals have beaten Brazil on their home court 88-76 to advance to the gold medal game.
Australia were down 57-64 in the third, but the Opals stormed home with a 31-12 final quarter.
Penny Taylor 26, Belinda Snell 22, Lauren Jackson 19 and 7 rebounds.

6-0 start to the 3rd Q by the Russians has pushed their lead out to 43-32.
Not sure who woul dbe better to play? Beating the USA ourselves for gold would be great, but Russia may be a more likely victory?
Either way, making the GF is a great achievemant & if they're able to bring home gold (no matter who against) it would be fantastic.
Edit : Make that 8-0 for 45-32. Ouch.

1st time since Australia in 1994 that USA has not made the final. It will be Russia's 3rd stright final (lost to USA Last 2 finals).

Hopefully Russia will be like Greece in the men's WC, use up all their juice in an emotional semi final agaisnt tournament favourite then have nothing in the tank for the GF. We're surely favourites going into the final right?
